Casey Sylvan 'Bliss'

Casey Sylvan finds 'Bliss' by exorcising apocalypse dreams and chanting romantic devotions. Art pop immolates into a blaze of choruses, seeking love and joy without end. The song 'A Face Like God' drives a dark car toward a vortex of noise as the line, "I dream of you.", haunts along the journey. Quietly drifting through space, 'Continuum' explores sonic unknowns and considers the tragic state of our reality, "The future was born into a home that burns/A cicada sings as flames singe its wings." This dark yet hopeful release wanders through midnight cities, crossing paths with David Bowie, Yukio Mishima, Scott Walker, and whoever else may be listening.

After evenings alone with the music, Sylvan entered Artifact Audio with Sasha Stroud (L.O.T.I.O.N., Phantasia) on March 7th, 2022. Together, they recorded songs over a few days with Mike Ralston offering his drum expertise. The songs were then mastered by Mikey Young (Ty Segall, Alan Vega), the artwork was photographed by Alex Mctigue, and design was contributed by Andrew Peden (Glitterer). In the wake of this collaborative execution, here is what we now know as 'Bliss'.
